NOKIA UNVEILS N96 2 DAYS BEFORE IPHONE LAUNCH IN INDIA

nokia is trying hard to launch major battle against apple's iphone, before it launches fully loaded tube against its new rival iphone its trying to maintian its market share by launching upgraded version of most acclaimed n95.
World’s largest mobile manufacturer Nokia on Tuesday unveiled its latest device from its ‘Nseries’ stable, N96, that has been optimised for unhindered web access and entertainment. To be available from the first week of September in India, N96 will offer memory size of 16GB that is expandable to 24GB through an external micro SD card.
its massive 24GB memory allows you to store up to 18,000 songs, up to 20,000 images at 5 mega pixel, up to 60 hours of video or 20 full-length movies. With multifunctional media keys and a 2.8 inch screen, music, movies, games and more are available at the touch of a button,
N96 also comes preloaded with ‘Wave Secure’ security application that allows consumers not just to track their handset in the event it is lost or stolen, but also create a back-up for the phone data through the Internet. This is an application being offered exclusively to consumers in India, it is likely to be priced around Rs. 30,000.

The Nokia N96 supports the Ovi family of Nokia Internet services, including maps, entertainment and media sharing. Users can also explore the world through navigation and the Nokia Maps 2.0 application. The phone is equipped with a 5 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, a dual LED flash and video light. It allows DVD-like quality video capture at 30 frames per second.
