Samsung Omnia comes to India
After Nokia N96, Apple iPhone here comes another gadget to woo indian customers Samsung Omnia.The phone rivals Nokia N96 and Apple iPhone which were recently launched in India at a similar pricing. Omnia priced over Rs 39,000 in India.
Says Sunil Dutt, country head, Samsung Telecom, "The new generation gets exposed to mobile phones first and then to any other devices like laptops. Keeping this in mind, we have tried to incorporate every type of features in our new Samsung Omnia which gives the consumer a true value for their money.". he Omnia phone which features a 5 megapixel camera would be available for Rs 39,999 for a 32GB memory and Rs 37,999 for 24 GB memory.
Samsung Omnia comes with a 5 megapixel camera and value-added features, which include face detection, smile detection. Based on the Microsoft Windows Mobile Professional system, it comes with a 3.2 inch LCD screen.
Besides Omnia, Samsung is also planning to come up with a range of multimedia phones by the second half of the year.
"Based on strengthening of our multimedia range with the introduction of our new touchscreen and music phones, we expect the multimedia phone contribution to grow to around 40 per cent of our total product portfolio by the end of the year," Dutt added.
