Mitsubishi Outlander lands in India

Hindustan-Mitsubishi motors have launched the Outlander today in the Indian Market. The vehicle has been priced at Rs. 20.2 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) throughout the country
The Outlander comes to India after making its debut in North America, Japan, Australia, Canada ,Russia ,and West Europe.
“We have launched the Outlander in India in keeping with the policy of offering the latest from the Mitsubishi stable to the Indian customers,” Hindustan Motors Chairman C K Birla said.
It is based on the latest Lancer platform and comes with electronically controlled 4WD which is based on a all wheel drive (AWD) philosophy. The engine is a 2.4 Litre MIVEC Petrol unit mated to either a 6-Speed manual transmission or a 6-speed Automatic transmission with paddle shift aka Honda Civic. There is no diesel option as of now.
The luggage compartment volume is a staggering 774 Litre with all 5 seats in place and can be increased to 882 litres depending on the position of the second row seat slide. With the second row seats folded completely down the luggage volume increases to a staggering 1681 Litres enough to shift your entire household!

Safety features include dual Air Bags, ABS + EBD and an engine immobilizer. The Outlander is available in six colors: river blue, silver dew, cascade white, sunrise yellow, pasture green, new moon black and twilight red Outlander for some variants.

The Outlander would be assembled at Hindustan Motors’ facility at Tiruvallur near Chennai.
